Heterogeneity based Mode Choice Behaviour for Introduction of Sustainable Intermediate Public Transport (IPT) Modes

چکیده
Intermediate public transport (IPT) supplements the system by providing first and last-mile connectivity to commuters. A feeder service based on sustainable intermediate transportation can be made attractive improving its mobility, accessibility, convenience, comfort for users. Sustainable IPT modes have a lower impact environment cater current future needs of transportation. In this study, commuters' choice responses were collected using stated preference survey instrument, database was analyzed Random Parameter Logit (RPL) model. Face-to-face interviews conducted with respondents who approached at random. different combination values from levels attributes used create scenarios each mode. Different types identified in study act as services, which find their utility functions random parameter logit The model heterogeneity evaluate impacts socioeconomic trip features mean estimations. function willingness pay (WTP) an mode assess relative value these attributes. It observed that WTP also varied between levels, "monthly income level", "trip purpose", "fare". "High level" commuters higher travel time, frequency, improvements. On other hand, "work trip" "high fare" safety According findings high quality are recommended because improved comfort. results so obtained better understanding behaviour analysis various modes. Adaptive Zoning for Transport Mode Choice Modeling
Adaptive zoning is a recently introduced method for improving computer modeling of spatial interactions and movements in the transport network. Unlike traditional zoning, where geographic locations are defined by one single universal plan of discrete land parcels or ‘zones’ for the study area, adaptive zoning establishes a compendium of different zone plans, each of which is applicable to one j...

15 صفحه اولEvaluating Options of Viennese Commuters to Use Sustainable Transport Modes
The 2-degree guardrail of global warming, together with accelerating urbanization and growing scarcity of oil, demands a redesign of todays’ sprawling cities in order to limit greenhouse gases and bring about efficiently built-up structures. In 2001, 42 percent of commuter paths within Vienna are traveled by private cars. This week-daily, recurring traffic pattern causes tons of Co2 and support...
